Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Seafood Order Writer to join our team at Whole Foods Market. As a key member of our seafood department, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate ordering of seafood products, maintaining inventory levels, and providing exceptional customer service.Key Responsibilities

• Ordering and Inventory Management: Replenish seafood products through proper buying procedures, order seafood products, and maintain appropriate back stock levels.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, address customer needs in a timely and effective manner, and model suggestive selling techniques.
• Inventory Control: Monitor and act upon open PO reports for both purchases and credits in an accurate and timely manner, control spoilage/shrink, and achieve turn goals.
• Merchandising: Maximize sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product.Requirements
  • Education and Experience: 12+ months retail experience.
  • Skills and Abilities: Comprehensive knowledge of seafood products, working knowledge and application of all seafood merchandising expectations, ability to educate team on product knowledge and convey enthusiasm.Working ConditionsThis role requires the ability to lift 50 pounds, stand/walk 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day, and work in a wet and cold environment. Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
